A Ranger Comeback

Nostalgia is a powerful emotion. It is also an emotion that often leads people to purchase something. When customers see an item that reminds them of their past, or perhaps even family heritage, they become that much more likely to make the purchase. This often works out very well for companies.

Many companies, including automakers, change heavily over the years. Products that they once offered are no longer in production. With automakers, nostalgia is particularly strong. That’s why, in some instances, automakers will bring back an older vehicle that is no longer in production. They’ll update and improve the vehicle, and often they will sell quite well, due to the nostalgia factor.

Ford is among the automakers that has done this. Most recently, the company has decided that it will bring back the Ford Ranger for the 2019 model season. The Ranger is a smaller pickup that was popular with many consumers. However, it has been out of production for several years.

The 2019 Ranger is technologically advanced, and boasts a pretty powerful lineup. It is equipped with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission. The 2019 Ranger, when put next to its earlier counterparts, is quite updated and upgraded. The midsize truck field is growing, and the Ford Ranger will likely again become a staple within the market.
